 Last
month in front of Mrs. Theodoridi's
homeJust two weeks after the November
edition of The Khronicles hit the streets with the story and photos
depicting the horrendous flooding of a Kokkini Hani street, the homeowners
in the area have received relief from the township.

"It's amazing," Mrs. Theodoridi, a
homeowner on the affected street, told this reporter. "For years we've been
asking the demos for help, and now – as soon as you exposed this deplorable
situation we get results. Thank you, Khronicles, for your help and support."
Mihalis Papathomanolakis, who has lived
in the area for 15 years, said the flooding had been getting worse every
year.
"We have spoken to the vice mayors and
have presented this problem to the proper authorities numerous times over
the years," he said. But none of the promises given by the town hall
regarding a solution were ever kept.”
"We're fortunate to have a local
community-minded newspaper to help residents in situations like this," Mrs.
Theodoridi said. "Keep up the good work."
