A cocktail party marked the second anniversary of B-Younique, at which the Gournes-based wholesale accessories company announced its expansion into the retail market.

Patrick Verschueren, company president, said the company’s new name would be B-Younique Group, and, at the same time, introduced Michelle Mears of Kokkini Hani as a new partner in the expanded company.

“Our new company will continue with our regular wholesaling of accessories, but will now include retail outlets, signs and decoration and web and graphic design,” Mr. Verschueren said.

In explaining the company’s new retail accessories operation, he announced the opening of the first franchised retail shop in Kato Gouves, which is operated by Sami and Soula Moudavaris.

“We will be opening a second franchise store in Analipsi this month,” Ms. Mears said. “By the end of this year we are planning to have five shops in operation throughout Crete, with future plans of expanding to mainland Greece in 2009.”

Mr. Verschueren also announced that the company has now added make-up and fragrance lines, and is the exclusive distributor of Blinx Bling hair accessories, as well as their own line of exclusive jewellery.
