The Cinergo Film Company in Iraklion is seeking expats in Crete to cover supporting and background roles for a new film by Costa-Gavras, Eden is West, which is scheduled to begin shooting this month.

The film, about a legendless hero, begins in the Aegean Sea and, after many adventures, including a stopover in paradise, and a brief one in hell, ends magically in Paris.

“Crete is chosen by the director as the depiction of paradise on the first level,” said a company spokesperson. “Everyone coming from any other country living permanently in Crete is very much needed to act as an extra or with a minor role.”
