Iron Man

The film is billed as the first ‘blockbuster’ of 2008 and has impeccable performances from Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Jeff Bridges, who has shaved his head and grown a hefty beard to play villainous Obadiah Stane.

Iron man sets off at a great pace which continues all the way through, has some good humour but does not shy away from violence, and contains some of the best special effects we have seen in a long time. It’s a great action-packed film for all the family.  And, for many comic book fans, Iron Man has long been one of their favourite characters.

The director, Jon Favreau, has done a great job with this film, which co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Terrence Howard. I won’t dare spoil any of this film by revealing too much, but I highly recommend it.
