Sister Act:

Maria and Hrisi Kouroupaki give a big welcome to their new baby sister, Elpitha, who was born on April 21 and weighed in at 2.950kg. The beautiful trio is the daughters of Vangelis and Irini Kouroupaki of Kokkini Hani.

Dual Happy Birthdays:

Brian and Eileen Fisher from Kalo Horio. Brian turned 71 and Eileen celebrated her 64th.  They had a joint celebration with a few drinks and a meal at a local taverna.

34 Candles:

That’s the number that decorated the cake of Nick Smith of Kokkini Hani. Nick, who helps his parents run the Neraida Taverna, toasted the occasion by downing a few beers with friends and family.

Big six oh:

John Massey from Kokkini Hani, who runs the pool bar at Sunset Apartments, celebrated the big occasion by drinking a local bar dry of Jamieson’s whiskey.

The ‘Eyes’ Have It:

Our own Renie Spykerman of Gournes, who writes the Through My Eyes column, celebrated her 44th birthday with just another business-as-usual day. She’ll join her daughter Evie’s birthday celebration with a swimming party this summer.

They Do:

Makis Zahariathakis and Marina Kontostergiou said their wedding vows at the Gournes church then celebrated with 800 guests at the Palladium, Anopoli.
