Prescription filled: Take a large amount of sweets and snacks, plus an equal amount of soft and hard beverages, and serve it all up while music fills the air, and you have just the right prescription for a grand opening. That’s the mixture Konstantina (Dina) Saltari came up with to introduce her new pharmacy to the people of Kokkini Hani. The festivities lasted well into the night, insuring Dina an opening to remember – and a brisk “morning-after” business in Tums and Alka Seltzer.

High-hat affair: Hristos Schinarakis donned his whitest, and highest, chef’s hat especially for the grand opening of his Ta Nisia Restaurant, on Kokkini Hani’s Main Street. Although the popular eatery has been open since last November, Chef Hristos made it official with an elaborate spread of specially prepared appetizers and main dishes for the more than 100 invited guests.
