Burn After Reading

A dark spy comedy written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, whose last film was the Oscar winning No Country for Old Men; Burn After Reading has many ingenious twists. The plot concerns an ousted alcoholic CIA official (John Malkovich) who loses an important computer disc containing classified information, which accidentally falls into the hands of two fitness centre employees (Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand). Adding to this stellar cast is George Clooney who plays a sex addicted federal marshal, and Tilda Swinton as Malkovich’s wife.

The Coens have given each person a special eccentricity, and everyone seems to be suffering a mid-life crisis.

With such an awesome cast, great direction and many hilarious moments, this film is worth seeing . . . if you can follow all the twists.  And, the action does carry you along the hilarious route of high level espionage and abs-toning exercises.
