PARENTS’ SCHOOL
Finally, kids will be able to turn the tables of their parents by saying,
“Hurry up or you’ll be late for school!”
Beginning this month, The Hersonissos Township will offer educational
programs called “Advisory for Parents” and “Relationship of School-Family,”
The programs were designed by the Parents’ School, which was founded and
operated by the General Secretariat of Adult Education of the Ministry of
Education, and will operate in all the prefectures of the country.

project’s aim is the systematic information and education of parents on
subjects regarding: improvement of communication in the family;
communication of parents and school; improvement of knowledge in parents
regarding the psyche, social spiritual and other needs of children in all
the stages of development; encouragement of participation for parents in
school activities and their cooperation with the educators for a more finite
help to their children; improving the parents knowledge and capabilities so
they can quickly diagnose and deal with their children’s difficult behaviour,
and gaining capabilities so they can reciprocate to the demands of their
children’s subsequent education levels. The
total length of the “Advisory for Parents” program is 40 hours, while the
“Relationship School-Family” is 20 hours. The
program is directed to parents of all ages, all nationalities, varied
education and also to future parents. For

hours; Cultural Tourism; Alternative Tourism, 25 hours, and Greek Language I
– General Population, 50 hours,
Participation is free for any adult. Anyone can apply to two programs for
each education period – there are two education periods, October to January
