While the phrase, now open wide, is a familiar part of a dentist's vocabulary, in this case it has taken on a whole new connotation.

More than 100 invited guests were on hand for the recent grand opening of the offices of Dental Surgeon Nikos Papadakis in Kokkini Hani.

So, out of force of habit, following the blessing by the priest, Nikos told his guests to "open wide," but this time it was an invitation for them to enjoy the huge selection of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks specially prepared for the event.

The festivities, which included continuous music by a disc jockey, continued well into the night.
