WHAT DO YOU THINK?

What do you think about the new law due for 2010 banning smoking in all public places?

Mihalis Vizirakis:

As a bar owner I can't see how to stop people from smoking here. They should make only certain bars completely non smoking but leave others alone. It will be a catastrophe for cafes, restaurants and bars.

Rhelda Moffett:

It will be difficult to enforce in a country where most people smoke, including myself, which I enjoy with my coffee. Bars and restaurants will struggle to enforce it and I think they will lose business.

Ronny van Rossen:

It's a very bad idea.  I have a bar and in the winter it is very quiet. If I have two customers who come in and they want to smoke, am I going to tell them to leave? What do you think?

Anna-Marie de Kruyff:

I think it will be very bad. Many people, including myself, smoke so how will they stop it in bars and clubs? If you are in a mixed crowd of smokers and non smokers, you don't want to sit separately.

Antonios Lambrakis:

I think this is a good law. I smoked, but stopped over a year ago, and feel much better.  But it is difficult to stop people from smoking, so maybe bars should be left for smoking but restaurants, offices etc for non-smoking.
