CUTTING THE NEW YEAR CAKE . . .



THE HERSONISSOS SENIOR CITIZEN ASSOCIATION

At ceremonies at the cultural centre, Mayor Spiros Danellis was honoured to be called upon to help cut the New Year's cake of the Hersonissos Senior Citizens Association, together with Adamandios Papoutsakis, group president, and Mrs. Arhondi Kehagia, its social worker. Mr. Danellis stressed the worthy contributions of the association through its many activities and wished everyone health and prosperity. Following the ceremonies, association members and invited guests were treated to food, refreshments and special gifts all prepared by its members.

 



ANO
HERSONISSOS PRIMARY SCHOOL

Maria Anastasaki, financial secretary of the Parent Association of the Ano Hersonissos Primary School, and Panayiotis Gialias, general secretary, join forces in cutting the traditional New Year cake during ceremonies at the village Church Hall, while the kids wait in anticipation. The evening was celebrated in style with traditional music and dancing, and the parents and their children enjoyed specially prepared food and refreshments.



VRITOMARTIS WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION

Mayor Spiros Danellis's cake cutting skills were called upon once again, this time for the Vritomartis Women's Association of Hersonissos. Here, he joins association members (from the left) Maria Psaltaki, Connie Dahl, Petra Β. Vasiliadi, association president, and Sabine Winkler at ceremonies at the Terra Maris Hotel. In addition to the festivities, the association presented the money they had raised from the Christmas bazaar to various charities.



ALIKARNASSOS MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES

During this cake cutting event, attended by many township workers, Mayor Vangelis Sisamakis wished a personal prosperity and health to all. He asked them to continue working as efficiently for the New Year as they had for the old, so that the local government can continue to successfully meet the demands of the public, and continue on its progressive way. Following the ceremonies, a dinner was served in the Town Hall's ground floor.


IKAROS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

The trainer for the Ikaros Athletic Association, Mr. Emmanuil Amariotakis, joins forces with the group's president, Mrs. Olga Hourdaki, at ceremonies for the cutting of the New Year cake.

Many parents and students enjoyed the celebration with traditional music, and

the Association and its Board of Governors thanked all the sponsors for their support.
