CARNIVAL TIME...

KATO GOUVES KINDERGARTEN

More than 30 children and parents attended the joint Mardi Gras and cutting of the New Year Cake celebration. Parents Maria Tsantiraki and Sofia Papoutsaki, dressed as clowns, provided entertainment for other parents and kids, some of whom were also in costumes. Antonios Sahlas, president of the parents and guardians association, lit the candles on the cake and, when the entertainment ended, refreshments were served.

KOKKINI
GRAMMAR SCHOOL

ROCKS ON CARNIVAL NIGHT

Music and dancing and fun for all were the order of the night, as the Kokkini Hani Grammar School held its Carnival Dance on Tsiknopempti’s Eve at the Palladium in Anopoli, the use of which was donated by its owners, the Plevrakis brothers.

The event, sponsored by the school's Parent's Association, featured a dance contest and a buffet.

The D2 class took first prize, while all the kids received a participation award.

TSIKNOPEMPTI IN
NEA ALIKARNASSO

Despite the bad weather conditions, there was great carnival fun in the streets of N. Alikarnassos on Tsiknopempti.  All those participating in the celebrations began in the early afternoon with a tour of all the city roads on the little train. Then, on to the Youth Polycenter of the N. Alikarnassos demos for an evening filled with music, food and games by an animation team. The events were all sponsored by the Alikarnassos Demos.
