This is the eighth book in the Women's Murder Club series and, while it is not necessary, it does help to have read the others first. San Francisco's most glamorous millionaires mingle at the party of the year but someone is watching and waiting for a chance to murder the city's most celebrated couple, Isa and Ethan Bailey. It turns out to be the perfect murder, with no trace of evidence left behind, which causes problems for police officer Lindsey Boxer and her partner, Rich Conklin. Also, Boxer starts investigating another murder which has nearly fallen through the cracks, that of a homeless preacher which has a great twist which you don't see coming. This book fits the pattern of all other Patterson books with short chapters, and a quick build up of suspense with twists and turns in every chapter. All in all a very gripping and entertaining read and a must for the numerous Patterson fans
