While it is not commonly known, two top charter airlines, Thomsonfly and First Choice, have merged to form the all-new Thomson Airways, the new company announced.

According to an airline spokesperson, the new service opens up a whole host of low-cost additional routes between both airports of Crete (Iraklion and Hania) and the UK.

"Thomson Airways now flies to 13 UK airports from Crete nearly every day of the week, so chances are there’s a route to suit everyone," the spokesperson said. "Meanwhile, when it comes to getting to and from Ireland, our sister airline, Falcon, flies every Friday to and from Dublin.

"For maximum flexibility, our local team can now offer one-way and return tickets up to six months in advance, or you can even purchase at the very last minute over the phone, or via our resident airport team. We can also offer great rates for family, friends and colleagues coming from the UK."

The spokesperson said low-cost fully inclusive rates are reviewed and re-priced daily, subject to availability.
