CRETAQUARIUM SETS
SUMMER ACTIVITIES

The CretAquarium, located on the old base in Gournes, has announced its summertime program consisting of a series of daily events.

In the Sea Creations - Marine Creative Workshop, participants can form in clay, with the help of moulds, various marine organisms and then colour their creations. They can also create unique marine masks and hats.

The workshop is open daily through September 11, including weekends and holidays, from 10:00 to 12:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.

Another attraction is the Touch Pool, where visitors can observe and touch spineless marine types, many of which can be seen in the Greek Seas.

It is daily, including weekends and holidays, 11:00 to 14:00 and 15:00 to 18:00.

Daily, between 13:00 and 14:00, divers of CretAquarium, dive in the bigger tanks mainly for cleaning and inspection. The visitors can observe them closely. Another popular observation for visitors is the feeding of marine organisms, which takes place everyday between 12:00 and 13:00.

Also, in the projection room, visitors can view various documentaries regarding the marine ecosystem, as well as the film, Karagiozis, the Mermaid and the Earth Message, an animation in the traditional style of the Theatre of Shadows. For times of the daily showings, check with the Aquarium reception at 2810-337888.
