GERMAN LESSONS
FOR CHILDREN


 The German-Speaking Community of Crete (Deutschsprachige Gemeinde Kretas), with headquarters in Hersonissos, has inaugurated a programme of native language lessons for all German-speaking children born in 2002 and 2003.

."We feel it's important for people from German speaking countries, who now live in Crete, to remain in touch with their homeland and culture," said Muriel Urech Tsamis, association president. "And it's especially important for the children, born here of German and Greek parents, to learn their second mother tongue."
