Mohos resident Yiannis Diamantakis has been named associate sports editor of The Khronicles, it was announced this month by publisher Sofia Klidi.

"In addition to being a life-long local resident, Mr. Diamantakis has 15 years experience as a footballer, playing throughout the four townships covered by this newspaper, and has become familiar with many of the players, the football grounds and the supporters," she said.

As associate sports editor, Mr.Diamantakis will work with Sports Editor Tony Bowes in reporting all the athletic news in the area, and, together, they will co-author the monthly sports column.

"We are excited about the addition of Mr. Diamantakis to our staff," Mr. Bowes said. "With his talent and experience in local sports, his contribution to our reporting will insure a much greater and more in-depth coverage of local athletics."
