Hundreds of anxious
shoppers from throughout the four-township area were on hand for
Hersonissos' big annual Christmas Bazaar, which featured arts and crafts,
and thousands of new, used and unusual items, as well as homemade foods.
Participating in the multi-national bazaar were many local groups, including
Hersonissos KAPI, various animal welfare groups, the Dutch, Swedish and
German ethnic associations, as well as local Cretan groups. In addition,
there was entertainment and the singing of Christmas carols. Proceeds for
the event went for the support of various organizations. |
