Annually one of the most popular events at the
Among the most popular displays were those of several local businesses,
which participated in the marriage and christening section of the
exhibition.
Kokkini Hani's popular Hatzis Restaurant was a first-time participant in the
exhibition, with a colourful display of tables set up with a party
atmosphere for special events.
"We totally renovated Hatzis a little more than a year ago with comfortable
seating for up to 300 guests," said Yiannis
Fragiathakis, owner of the landmark restaurant. "Now we're ready to show
everyone just how special a special event can be, by combining a party
environment with fine food in a more intimate setting."
Spyridon Patisserie of Kokkini Hani, a veteran of several wedding and
baptism shows, it could be said, had
the "sweetest" display of the exhibition, an elaborate layout highlighting a
wide range of decorated cakes and treats for every occasion.
"I'm very happy with this year's show, it was even better than last year,"
said Spyridon Hatzakis. "It's a wonderful opportunity to show people what
our cakes actually look like, rather than showing photos." |
Another first time exhibitor at the wedding show in Gournes was Sami
Moudavaris, a
professional photographer from Kato Gouves. "Last year we moved to a new and expanded studio, in a space required to properly display the extent of our work for weddings and baptisms," Mr. Moudavaris said. "Now, with this exhibit, complete with audio-video support, we can adequately show a maximum number of prospective clients what goes into creating a visual experience for their special event."
