Help Greece -
Holiday There!

A New Facebook Page Sponsored by The Khronicles

KHRONICLES INTRODUCES
ITS FACEBOOK PAGE

The new Khronicles page on FaceBook is designed to further keep readers up to date with all the latest news in our area, as well as letting them know about new editions of the paper and other pertinent information, it was announced by John McLaren, the newspaper's web editor.

"But that's not all," John said. "The page has been put together so that readers can add to its content - either with photos, videos, links to other interesting sites or just with comments on issues which concern them and that they'd like all other Khronicles fans to read. In addition, they can also let all other users know of any events forthcoming in the area."

John said that it was easy to join, and advised readers to click on the FaceBook link on The Khronicles website at www.ko-go.gr

In addition, John announced that FaceBook fans can also help save Greece in its time of financial crisis.

"
The Khronicles and Aquaworld Aquarium have jointly sponsored another new FaceBook page - one designed to encourage people to holiday in Greece," John said. "The idea is not to ask for charity, or to beg people to come here, but simply to point out and illustrate the many advantages this wonderful country has as a holiday destination. We believe that Greece in general, and Crete in particular, offer visitors unique experiences in terms of land/seascapes, cuisine, historical/physical activities and so on."

John predicted that if considerable numbers of "new" people could be made aware of this, tourism will undoubtedly benefit.

"In turn, this country will then be able to pull itself out of its present financial quagmire without having to run cap in hand to the wealthier EU countries for a bail-out," John said.

He added that individuals and organizations are welcome to add content such as photos, videos and links which they feel will help this aim.
