 PAO Gouves 1 v Paliani 2008 (Venerato) 2

Gouves kicked off and after 3 minutes they had the first chance which fell to Strintzis, but the shot was over the bar. Clever work by Gouves' Alla almost led to a goal, but then a quick break by Paliani led to a goal by Mastrandonakis after 15 minutes. Both sides were playing some neat football with defences equal to any attacks. A free kick to Gouves was taken by Plevrakis, who passed to Strintzis, whose shot was wide of the goal. An appeal by Gouves for a penalty after 30 minutes was denied. Gouves' Alla was brought down on the edge of Paliani's penalty area and Strintzis took the kick and scored a very good goal in the 40th minute, to tie the score. In the second half, a shot by Paliani's Kotoros was well saved by Gouves' goalkeeper, Mahairas, and then another shot by Kotoros was just wide of the net. Kotoros again made a good shot, but it was kicked off the line by Gouves' Hasfatoux, who was having a good game. Gouves' Mahairas had a nice spell making good saves with two shots from Roumeliotis and one from Kotoros. A wonderful cross from Paliani's Oikonomakis to Kotoros, who hit the ball the first time and scored Paliani's second goal in the 80th minute, to take the lead. A late tackle by Gouves' Katsaitis gave him the red card.

The Khronicles "Man of the Match" was Paliani's Kotoros who was a constant threat to the Gouves defence.

PANOM (Malia) 2 – Asteras Myrtias (Iraklion) 0

The match took place at the Hersonissos field because of the repair work being done at the Malia grounds. The local team, with two fast goals in the first half, got the precious three points to stay in the category.  The Asteras team was not very evident in the first half, thusly giving the chance to the Malia team to organize and play good football. Katsafaros on the 8th opened the scoring and Lyrakis on the 18th made it 2-0 with an exceptional individual effort, but was also seriously hurt in the process, and had to leave the game. In the second half, the Asteras team made a much stronger effort, but didn't take advantage of many opportunities. For example, Koukakis lost his chance on the 49th, and, on the 55th there was a good play by Bourthelis, but a yet better save from Panom's Assariotis. On the 83rd Panom's Katsoulis got the kick but Asteras' goalie defended well. The Khronicles "Man of the Match" goes to all Panom players for a great team effort.

Mohos 1 – Episkopi 2

Mohos went on to yet another defeat, bringing the team closer to being demoted from the regional championship. The team, however, had many complaints against the refereeing of the Hania official, Mr. Bouleros, claiming that the refereeing was not clear, but all to no avail. It took only the first half of the game for the Episkopi team to do the damage and leave the pitch as a winner. In just the 14th, Kaselas was tackled by Nikokirakis, Bouleros showed penalty, which was executed masterfully by Moulitsas, and Episkopi's scoring got underway. In the 32nd Karathakis sent the ball in the net following a pass from Moulitsas, making the score 0-2. Mohos tried to fight back in the second half and in the 60th the team achieved 1-2 with an effort from Merkoulidis.  But after that the home team couldn't do anything more, especially after so much "false whistling" from the referee. The Khronicles "Man of the Match" was Episkopi's Karathakis.

Thiagoras (Anopoli) 8 v Agios Dimitrios (Iraklion) 0

Thiagoras kicked off and made a lively start with Evstathiou close to getting a goal. After only seven minutes, Thiagoras' Kallipolitis scored their first goal. Thiagoras' Evstathiou again made a good shot but an excellent save by Firoyenis kept the ball out. The first attack by Agios Dimitrios led to Paterakis shooting, but this was well saved by Thiagoras' goalkeeper Skoulas. A good move by Thiagoras ended with Moraitakis hitting the post  and then another quick break by Thiagoras led to a corner which Moraitakis brilliantly headed in to make the score 2-0. A good shot by Agios Dimitrios' Panderis N. was tipped over the bar by Skoulas for a corner. A wonderful piece of football from Thiagoras started with Kallipolitis letting the ball run on to Moraitakis who crossed, and Karagounis ran in scored after 30 minutes to make the score 3-0. A minute later a pass split the Agios Dimitrios defence and Stotis ran on to score 4-0. In the second half, a quick move by Thiagoras led to their fifth goal scored by Kallipolitis. A through ball from Karagounis found Moraitakis, whose shot hit the net to make the score 6-0.  Kokkinakis came on as substitute in the 75th minute and with his first touch of the ball scored to make the final score 8-0.

The Khronicles "Man of the Match" was Thiagoras' Patounas who from the start kept the Thiagoras defence together giving Agios Dimitrios no chances.
