The
Episkopi municipality, together with the Galyfa Cultural Association, will
present the art works by local artist Kallia Mattheaki from July 7 to 18.
The exhibition will be on view at
the “new auditorium” in Galyfa and will be open to the public from 17:00 to
21:00 and on Sundays from 12:00 to 20:00. The artist was born in the United
States but came back to Iraklion, her father’s hometown, when she was eight
years old. “The concept of
my exhibition is “Marriage” because I unite painting with wire in my art,”
she said. “I believe that God has given me a wonderful gift and has given me
this new direction in my art.”
