Ahh…summertime! It’s my favourite season…sun, sea, frolicking in the surf. But, what does all that mean for our hair? Unfortunately, summer is a very difficult period for hair, because the sun fades out the colour, while dehydrating the hair. The sea salt also spoils the harmony of our tresses as it dries out and brakes up the hair. And don’t even think about the damages the chlorine in the pool has in store for you, just picture greenish highlights for all you “blondes” as well as creating havoc with your next dye job. Of course, now you’ll think: “I’m going to miss swimming because of my hair?”

 Well, the answer is simple: “Proper Care and Moisturizing.” Your hairdresser will advise you about the right sun-protection products suitable just for you.  

Proper care always begins with a good wash, so, after swimming be sure to wash your hair with a soft and moisturizing shampoo and don’t forget the all-important nourishing conditioner. In summer, always use soft styling products. Last but not least, don’t forget to use a sun protection hair product which helps filter out sun, salt and chlorine while moisturizing at the same time.
