New Chromeo Album:

A new album, Business Casual, by Chromeo, will be released on September 14, but, according to a report by the magazine NME, while the single, Don’t Turn The Light On, was released in June. We remind everyone that Chromeo’s members,  P-Thugg (Patrick Germayel) and Dave 1 (David Macklovitch), have declared that their band “constitutes the unique cooperation of Jewish and Arabic music dating back to the birth of human culture.” The two musicians have been playing since they met in school in Montreal.

Slash Speaks Out:

As reported recently in a popular rock magazine, Slash said he is disappointed with today’s modern rock scene. The legendary guitarist stated that there is a lack of some particular spirit in the musical scene and admits that he has no idea when or where the next big surprise will come from. “Ι always say that the spirit of heavy metal remains alive, and maintains its autonomy, but the more general scene of groups, such as AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses, is very poor. “The Rock ’n’ Roll spirit has by far been decreased,” he said. He continued by saying that he understands why pop artists now outclass the rock musicians, and he respects the really charismatic ones, no matter what type of music they represent.
