In response, Gouves Mayor Yiorgos Nikolakakis said the public lighting on base at certain chosen locations have been included in a study being done jointly with the Iraklion Prefectoral government through the program “Viable communities.” “Through this program, independent photovoltaic signals and columns will be installed like those that were tried out at the entry way of the Centre for Environmental Education,” he said. “I hope they are all installed at an early date.”
