 Bono is Better:

With a video message in their official site, U2 informed their fans that Bono is feeling better and that the group will continue its European tour as scheduled. Due to Bono’s serious back injury, U2 lost, among others, their headlining appearance in this year's Glastonbury Festival and postponed their Canadian and North American tours until summer 2011. “I can get-up, sit-down and move a little,” said Bono, adding, “thanks to German medical technology I feel ready. I was told that I am a new and improved model.” Their September concert in Athens, barring any unexpected occurrences, will take place as planned.

"In the 70s, 80s and 90s music recording companies always insisted on an artist recording singles,” he told this column. “I believe I’ve done enough of this. I no longer need to record any more pop songs and besides I’m not a frequent visitor on the pop charts. It’s time to record disks that would suit my age," said the 60 year old musician. Future projects include an album with 50 adaptations of songs by Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, and some Motown artists, as well as a Christmas album.
