The Ko-Go Khronicles received a "tip" about an illegal garbage dump in Gournes – and here it is!
We found this huge dumpsite, consisting of several hundred square meters of waste, refuse and discarded furniture, within the boundaries of the old air base – exactly 200 meters from the front door of town hall! However, when citizens ask the town where they can dump, they're sent to a site many kilometers away in a location past the village of Skotino. So, then, just who may have created this "waste"-land?

The above picture, taken with telescopic lens, shows two men unloading trash from a truck at the Gournes dumpsite. In case it is not clear in this photo, we followed the truck until it parked in front of town hall and the two men went inside. Here's a clearer photo of the truck, with "Town of Gouves" imprinted on its side.
